Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez is on many clubs' radar according to numerous reports, with some reports suggesting that Liverpool are one of those clubs interested in signing the Chilean international in the summer.
Sanchez has experienced a dissatisfying season so far with him only managing nine league starts under Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova with him struggling to establish himself as a regular in the starting line-up for the Catalan giants.
This is his second season at Barcelona since his big money 23 million pound move from Udinese in 2011 and he has so far managed to make 71 appearances for Barcelona scoring 19 goals and getting 13 assists with 31 of those appearances coming this season.
Despite this though he has been unsuccessful in nailing down a regular first-team place, with a few injuries partly to blame for him so far not achieving this, and it is now been suggested that he will leave Barcelona in the summer to secure more playing time with another club.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers then is allegedly said to have his eye on the Barcelona front man, and will hope that if he does make a move to sign him the allure of been able to play regularly in the Premier League will tempt Sanchez to make the move to Liverpool.
There are two potential stumbling blocks to this deal though for Rodgers as if Liverpool fail to finish in the top four this season they will fail to qualify for next seasons Champions League competition and so then won't be able to offer Champions League football to Sanchez next season.
Another stumbling block is that Barcelona won’t be keen on making a huge financial loss on Sanchez, and so will be looking to reclaim a large chunk of the 23 million pounds they paid to Udinese.
Juventus and Napoli are also said to be keen on Sanchez and so Liverpool will likely face stiff competition for his signature if they did decide to make a move for him in the summer.
